Old Testament survey

Class Description: Join us for 9 weeks of exploring the Old Testament! The goal of this course is to help construct a framework for understanding the many events and themes found in the Old Testament. We will study God's intervention in history and how it all fits into his grand plan of salvation for mankind. We will do this by studying God's work in history through His covenant promises, analyzing Scripture's different sections such as the history, prophecy, and wisdom literature. We hope to illuminate how Old Testament stories, both familiar and unfamiliar, fit in God's grand plan of salvation.
Book: The following book is optional. Dominion and Dynasty: A Theology of the Hebrew Bible by Stephen G. Dempster and can be purchased through Amazon.
Homework: Approximately 30-60 minutes a week.
